Erin Cowell is the author of A Brief Moment in Time, her debut novel. Before discovering her passion for storytelling, she built a career as a graphic designer, where she developed an eye for detail and creativity that now shapes her writing. She lives in Massachusetts with her husband, Will, and their beloved dog, Moo. In her free time, Erin enjoys running, painting, and savoring a Dunkin’ decaf.

I’m a lifelong reader like most writers. While growing up, I read whatever was in front of me, including the newspaper at the age of 10. I couldn’t get enough. Luckily, my mom was an avid reader, so whatever she read, I read. Including books I probably shouldn’t have been reading at 13, but they really opened my world.

I absolutely love running. That wasn’t always the case but after my first 5k at the age of 28, I was hooked. In 2015, I ran a marathon just to see if I could. It was quite an accomplishment and a few years later, in 2017, I was honored to run the Boston Marathon for Girls on the Run Greater Boston.

I've spent 25+ years in graphic design, most recently as an Art Director. This year, at the age of 52, I published my first novel, A Brief Moment In Time. My career has helped me develop an eye for detail and creativity that now shapes my writing.
